He previously achieved third place in an international Quran competition in Algiers, Algeria, ten days before his latest victory and had won first place in the Huffazul Quran Foundation competition in 2022.

Upon his triumphant return to Bangladesh, a reception is planned at Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka by Markazut Tahfiz International Madrasa and Quran enthusiasts. Sheikh Nechar Ahmed An Nasiri invites everyone to join the celebration in honor of Hafez Bashir Ahmed.
The Tehran International Quran Competition, initiated in 1982 with participants from 12 countries including Malaysia, Bangladesh, India, Iraq, Syria, Guinea, Algeria, and Libya, has grown to include Quran reciters from various countries, making it a week-long international event.
